Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream

Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream

Hand cream is a must here in the high desert. If we don’t slather it on after every hand washing (and then some) by the end of the day, we’re a dry, cracked mess.

Back in November, at Space NK in Soho, we found the most amazing rose scented hand cream by Jurlique, an independent alternative skin care company based in Australia. No other hand cream compares to this rich, creamy formula. It is, by far, the best we’ve ever tried.

Jurlique has two certified organic farms spanning over 165 acres in South Australia where they practice biodynamic farming (a philosophy based on preserving the inner balance of the farm’s ecosystem by growing mutually beneficial companion crops near one another—what one crop takes from the soil, another gives back). Over 50 different varieties of plants and flowers are grown on these farms and transformed into Jurlique skincare products.

This month, our favorite hand cream is now available in Citrus scent: a blend of tangerine, mandarin and lemon that is beyond divine. (Also, our children no longer complain that we smell like a rose-scented-grandma.)

Jurlique Citrus Hand Cream is available at various retail locations and online at jurlique.com.

Airport pick me up

Today we are en route to Oklahoma City for the next four days.Aveda Hand Relief

As we sit here in the Denver airport waiting for our connecting flight, our three a.m. wake up call is starting to catch up with us.

It’s moments like these that even the smallest beauty gesture can lift our spirits and make us feel a little more like ourself. Aveda Hand Relief is a rich and creamy hand cream with an incredible scent that makes us feel pampered and instantly fresh.

(If we can continue feeling like this for the entire weekend while we chaperone a gaggle of middle school girls at a volleyball tournament, it will be nothing short of a miracle!)

Happy Halloween!

Today is Halloween and you know what this means, right? (No, not an all access pass to mini boxes of Milk Duds.)

This means that tomorrow when you go to the department store or drug store or even the grocery store, the HALLS! THEY WILL BE DECKED!

And if you think we’re joking about this, just try us. Some stores around here already have their holiday stuff on the shelves and a neighbor on our street even has a lighted Christmas tree sitting on her porch! (She is a little crazy, but STILL.)

So, to honor the fact that we are officially in full-swing-holiday-mode, we are offering our very first gift idea for the season.L'Occitane Hand Cream

Yay! Celebrate!

It is no secret that we are addicted to L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream. We buy the mini tubes by the armload and keep them in our purse, in the car and in our desk at work. This perfect hand cream keeps our hands nicely moisturized without being greasy, and it smells divine.

We also like the Lavender Hand Cream and the Verbena Hand Cream and think that this limited edition L’Occitane Mini Hand Cream Trio would make the perfect gift this holiday season (set includes 1 oz tubes of each hand cream.)
