Maybelline’s Shiny-Licious
While tons of our girlfriends swear by Maybelline Great Lash mascara, we just haven’t been able to feel its love.
It weighs down our perfectly crimped curl and straightens out our lashes instantly, which is sort of a bummer because we really want to love this mascara. 
But not to worry, as Maybelline has plenty other stars on their shelf, like this Shiny-Licious Lip Gloss in Pink Bikini, a limited edition color in their Solar Power collection.
Cool, casual and slightly flirty– this shiny pale pink is the perfect weekend shade.
(Also, at only $6 bucks, it doesn’t hurt as much when it ‘disappears’ at the hands of the teenagers.)
I don’t particularly like Maybelline mascara too as like you I find it weighs my lashes down. We have a Shiny Black mascara here that I tried and decided I did not like. The gloss however looks yummy

I’ve never liked Maybelline Great Lash either. The lipgloss looks very pretty, although I’m not a big fan of pale pink.

For some reason, I never liked the Maybelline lipglosses. They are too sticky for my taste, but the colors are certainly pretty. On the cheap more affordable side, I tried one Neutrogena lipgloss and I liked it better. It does not have a lot of staying power, but at least it has spf.

i don’t like it either!! i don’t like the brush and i don’t like the formula! though, i do like their re-vamped eye shadow quads. they actually DO last now!

Erika - I wanted to thank you for my MAC eyeshadow; I rec’d it and had to admire it’s beauty in the package but finally tore into it today and the shadow goes on beautifully, not to mention the gorgeous color! I am definately hitting my local MAC counter this weekend to add to the collection. Thanks again!

What a coincidence! I had the same problem with Maybelline Great Lash Mascara. I just can’t understand why everyone loves it so much.
But so far, Maybelline Sky High Curves and Lash Expansion have worked really well for me. Not so much in the thickened lashes department but they holded curls very, very well.

I haven’t found the Great Lash mascara works that well, either, but I have one in Royal Blue, since it’s cheap and I don’t want to spend a ton on blue mascara! I didn’t like the Shiny-Licious gloss I tried either, but it was just because I didn’t like the smell. Maybelline Pure Makeup is my favorite foundation, though, so I love them for that!!

The only Maybelline product that I have ever liked is their XXL Mascara, I swear that made my lashes longer and added more volume to them. I’ve heard people say it gives them clumps. But I love this mascara. I dislike their glosses though.

I love the Shiny-licious lip gloss in Sugar Plum (kind of a brown-based pink). I have black hair, dark eyes, and pale skin so its hard to find a color that I can wear during daylight hours that won’t make me look ill. The only complaint is that it is very, very sticky/tacky. But I got used to that with time. The stickiness also helps it stay put for longer than most glosses.

I’ve never liked Great Lash mascara. Goes to show, that in some cases, you really do get what you pay for.
